Lip Sync | Assignment #2

Lip Sync a song to another Footage Task : One to Two minute Video The students will film a song and lip synching it, matching their lips to the lyrics of a song in the editing process. Directions Students will select a musical number to lip sync, they are encouraged to pick a classic song in which the lyrics can be understood.   Student should then act out the song in different locations matching their lips to the lyrics in the video.  It is important to have different types of camera shots in the video and it should  be properly edited. In this assignment we had to take any footage from an asian genre and sync an English song with it. So I took two different videos and songs and synced them with each other , according to their genre,style and mood. Documentary being covered upon : Imkaan(NGO) Imkaan The documentary I shall be making individually for this component is inspired by the many wonderful people we usually tend to forget about, who exist amongst us. They are those individuals who aspire to contribute to the society without having any benefits for themselves , and there are also those individuals who one day grow up to do justice with the acts that led them to lead their lives respectfully and proudly.  The documentary will follow up on the lives of the owner of a local NGO as well as one of the many children who live there. I’ll also focus on 2 major roles of the NGO, that are Sehat Ghar & Khel. This NGO is different from amongst the mainstream way of working and provides them for whatever necessities the child in today’s era may require. The Care Foundation: This Documentary is based on the schools and initiative taken by the care foundation. It came into being in the late 1980’s when the managing trustee discovered ,during the floods there are children who have nothing to do all day but follow her. So she decided that the best gift she could actually give them was education. So the Care schools were established. The documentary focuses on showing the managing trustee , students, parents and alumni of the Care foundation , who share their experience and learning outcomes.This is mainly an interactive and observational documentary, which explores during the various shots and interviews taken as to how everyone has the same perspective and respect for the foundation . It includes interviews which provide the perspective of how the students aspire to become successful in the future, and alumni who are already benefiting from the school.  AAB presents “Minerva School Project” AAB also known as water, where water is a source of life, AAB claims to provide life as well. The documentary takes us into the lives of these children who are underprivileged and victims of either abuse or child labour. This documentary sheds light on the initiative taken by the organisation called “AAB”, who have started off with a school project called “ Minerva ”. The school has been running without any international funding and provides children with basic education form the age of 5-16. Similarly , the school has been recognised for its efforts and won the British Council International School Award 2015-2018 for intercultural activities in school. The documentary takes us into the classrooms, homes and shows us the children, their teachers and head of the school as well. Master Ayub: Mohammed Ayub Khan is a civil servant, philanthropist and Pakistani educator, who is known to have dedicated the last 30 years of his life to educating underprivileged children in Pakistan. His mission is to provide education to these children who are unable to go to schools or are involved in various notorious activities to pull them out of a dark space. He started off by teaching a child mechanic and then slowly expanded his services whenever he found out that there are children working and not going to school. He started with the aim of giving back to Pakistan , by willing to contribute whatever in his will power to educate these children and turn them into respectable and law abiding citizens of the country. He has not only been successful in managing his park school located in Islamabad, but he has already produced examples for many of his current students.
